I’ve gone from the Companion 180 to the 150 and finding it just as easy and comfortable. I’m a little nervous with the angle and dips of kerbs when crossing roads as the rear wheels are considerably smaller and the chair can tip more easily, but I’ll get used to it. Thank you to Tanya for all the help in store. Your patience and help were very much appreciated.
I am still getting used to the chair but have found it pretty good.
Tanya has been extremely helpful and given us a lot of her time,
My husband had a lift put into the boot of his car, and he says he has found it very useful and has made a big difference. Thank you so much Tanya for all your help and time given to us.
Our Companion 150 Travel Folding Wheelchair arrived promptly and in excellent condition after a very helpful information session and follow-up emails from Tanya of Out and About Healthcare.
We have now had the wheelchair for approximately 3 months, during which time we have used it for visits to local parks and recreation areas at least twice a week, with brief gaps only when daytime temperatures exceeded 30°C. We cover distances of 3 to 5 kilometres during each visit, on paths that occasionally are a little rough and require tackling slopes of up to 12° or so. The battery capacity is more than sufficient for our distances, showing a drop of only one bar of charge after two outings. Consequently, I’ve adopted the practice of recharging after two rather than each outing. The Companion 150 has proved to be sturdy, reliable and comfortable, and has easily managed the slopes while carrying a weight of approximately 60kg. It remains in excellent condition, with no loose or rattling components or any signs of wear. It has proved to be an excellent choice for our requirements.
